Principl
e-Centered Health is owned and directed by Mark P. Kelly, PhD., CSCS. He is professional wellness consultant, certified strength and conditioning  specialist for 13 years, and exercise physiologist with 25 years experience in the health & fitness field.


Academic Background
Mark has a B.S. in Kinesiology and Psychology from UCLA, an MS in Exercise Physiology from Univ. of New Mexico, an M.S. in Physiology from Louisiana State University, Health Science Center, and a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology and Education Administration from the University of New Orleans. 
      
He has taught at several major universities including LSU- Medical and Dental Schools, Tulane School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine, University of New Orleans, University of Phoenix, Irvine Valley College, Our Lady of Holy Cross College, and Delgado Community College.  He has presented his research papers at National Meetings for the American College of Sports Medicine on multiple occasions, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and regional scientific meetings.

Applying Theory to the Real World

As an exercise physiologist and  trainer of professional athletes- including Pat Swilling, the NFL Defensive Player of the Year, and many other college and high school athletes, he has plugged in the latest science and theory with the latest in training and psychological techniques to maximize athletic performance. Mark has been the official scientist for the Body by JakeHip & Thigh Sculptor™, Torso T, Malibu Pilates Chair, Windjector Pro, Body Rev and others.

Even though PCH has been in business for 8 years it has not had a commercial site and has not done testing and evaluation in its own office until the beginning of 2008.

 
Athletic Background
Mark is a former athlete who has always had an interest in science and the human body. He is a formerly nationally-ranked duathlete (6th in 25-29 age group), college and pro bowler, and has run a 2:41:40 marathon and won a body building content. He combined his love of science and sport when he opened Principle-Centered Health Human Performance Services



Sabrina Ikalowych is the instructor of some the Project FIT bootcamps, and Robert Chirk's skills in web design help make the team known as Principle-Centered Health.
